no new van...yet

returned the Saturn relay today...it really wasn't the van we wanted for a couple reasons.
1. poor color (yucky brown)
2. no 'pull-up' bar or stepup, so it makes it difficult for shorter ppl to get into the passenger side.
3. sorta expensive...got about $3000 for our van / reduction on the price...but that got eaten up by the $2200 in taxes.

On a positive side, it was a nice ride..nice and smooth and comfy. It also, had a pretty cool feature, power assist door opening / closing. This was only for the right-back sliding door, so only limited coolness.

I think the van we "want" is a 2006-07 Grand Caravan with the stow-and-go seating, which means you can turn a regular passenger van into a cargo van in about 10 minutes, without removing any seats !! I really like this blue one

Oh well, we will see what happens.

Van thoughts

Well...we "bought" a 2006 Saturn Relay on Saturday, but the more I think about it, the more I don't really think we need it.

It is a nice ride, but our 96 Windstar is still working pretty good and isn't worth much for a trade-in as it is (and won't depreciate much more)..."blue" book value has our van valued at $700 - $1000 wholesale....quite a drop from when we bought it 5 years ago ($12,000?)
